Dating back to 2500 BC, the Ulu style knife has surprisingly stayed under-the-radar through the years, despite its effortless versatility in the kitchen. This more modern interpretation of the Ulu Knife has been manufactured by Lamson in Massachusetts since 1837 and has remained virtually unchanged since it went in to production. Unlike a traditional kitchen knife that requires the user to constantly pick the blade up off the cutting surface, the Ulu Knife utilizes a natural rocking motion based on the shape of the blade. Slicing vegetables, meat, and even pizza is made effortless by the rocking motion of the blade, allowing for quicker and less taxing meal prep. A walnut handle is riveted on to the hardened and tempered high-carbon 420HC stainless steel blade, and each Lamson Ulu Knife is backed by a lifetime warranty.
