Pencils have been encased in wood since as early as 1560. Breaking away from tradition, Karst ditches the timber with their woodless design. Their pencils are made entirely from 100% pure graphite with a 2B hardness, offering five times more graphite than the standard #2. The unconventional construction leaves room for versatility, allowing the utensil to be sharpened to a point for precise line work or left blunt for shading. Its bulky weight is satisfying to hold and a matte coating helps prevent smudges on fingers.
