Alain Prost's 1990 Ferrari F40

Four-time Formula One World Champion Alain Prost gave the racing world some of the most memorable moments in motorsport history. His duels with teammate Ayrton Senna were the stuff of legend during his time with McLaren and Ferrari. Prost joined Ferrari in 1990, and as befitting a driver of Prost's stature, he was awarded the ultimate Ferrari road car at the time — an F40. Chassis no. 83249 was delivered to Prost without the later F40's adjustable suspension or catalytic converters; however, Prost would never actually use the car and sold it on shortly after receiving it. The car was given its Ferrari Classiche certification in 1999, and Prost himself has verified it as the one he briefly owned. The car goes to auction in May at RM Sotheby's event in Lyon, France.
